Art for Animals Gallery Show will open with a reception on Friday November 28th, 6pm to 9pm at the Grind House in Baltimore. Up Do's For I Do’s artists Jess and Serena will have multiple pieces in the show, showcasing the range of their creativity!
All eleven artists involved in the show are donating their work to benefit the winter care of the rescued animal residents at Burleigh Manor. Burleigh Manor, a 501c charity located in Ellicott City, provides a safe and caring, permanent home for unwanted, neglected, or abused farm animals. All animals receive proper nourishment, shelter, and quality veterinary care. Volunteers provide them with individual attention and affection. The rescued animals are honored and can enjoy love, safety, and peace for the remainder of their days.
Local artists’ work varies from oil on canvas to photography to watercolor to mixed media with crystals to acrylic on porcelain. Participating artists have all visited Burleigh Manor and found inspiration in the animals there: horses, sheep, chickens, goats, bunnies, mules, donkeys, ponies, cows.
Individual artists are Jessica Lynn Baligush (Windsor Mill), Christina Canner (Baltimore), Nathaniel Corn (Catonsville), Andrea Gauzza-Langlie (Baltimore), Rachel Horner (Baltimore), Serena Jarvis (Sykesville), Jason & Kristin Linde (Elkridge), Miguel Marron (Laurel), Rissa Miller (Catonsville) and Dora Siragusa-Parks (White Hall).
The Art for Animals show opening will be presented on Friday November 28th from 6pm to 9pm. The Grind House Cafe will host the event, located at 2433 St. Paul St, Baltimore, MD 21218. Work will be on display through March 1, 2015.
