Yes! We provide on-location wedding hair and makeup services throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. Our expert artists come to you, ensuring a stress-free and seamless beauty experience.

Yes! We provide on-site bridal hair and makeup services throughout Wilmington, the Brandywine Valley, and coastal Delaware. Our professional artists come to your getting-ready location, whether it's a historic estate, waterfront venue, or private home.

Can your makeup artists make me look like I'm 21 again?

Wouldn't that be amazing? While we wish our makeup brushes doubled as magic wands, that's unfortunately not the case. We do use products that will leave you and your face feeling fresh, youthful, and the most beautiful you've ever felt.

Can your makeup artists get rid of wrinkles and unwanted blemishes?

While we wish we could wave our magic wands and make wrinkles vanish, unfortunately, we cannot. While we aren't able to completely eliminate wrinkles, we do have some tricks to reduce their appearance.

Why are your prices higher than other bridal hair and makeup companies?

Our team of experienced professionals have over 20 years of wedding experience and have completed over five thousand weddings. We are dedicated to making sure you are happy with our service and will never cancel on you or take your money without delivering the promised service. Do you provide services for grooms?

Absolutely! Let us know what your honey is in need of and we'll add his services to our day-of schedule.

Can we receive only eye or only skin makeup applications?

While this is not standard, it is possible. However, receiving only half of a makeup application does not change the pricing.

How do I remove individual lashes or lash strips?

When you are ready to remove your false lashes, you simply peel them off. Then use your regular facewash to remove any excess mascara or glue from the lashes.

Do your makeup artists use waterproof mascara?

Yes, of course! We don't want any happy tears leaving streaks down your pretty face.

Will my artist(s) stay until after the ceremony? What if I cry?

Unless requested, your artist(s) will not stay until the end of your ceremony. There is an option to have your artist(s) stay until the end of your ceremony for an additional fee. Rest assured, our professional makeup artists will make sure your makeup lasts all night long. They will prep your skin properly and use long-lasting products that won't budge, even if you cry or sweat.

What if a person I've already paid for backs out of services for my wedding day?

If someone you've already paid for decides they can't make it, we do not refund the money you've already paid for their services. But don't worry! If someone does have to back out, there's usually another friend or family member eager to step in and take their spot. We'll make sure everything works out smoothly for you!

What if I don't love my hair or makeup look?

If you're not happy with your hair or makeup, let us know right away. We want you to love your look on your wedding day, and we won't stop tweaking it until you're over the moon. Open communication is key and we appreciate our brides and their parties being totally transparent with our artists. We want you to love your wedding day glam, not just like it!

Can I book multiple artists for services? (2 or more hairstylists, 2 or more makeup artists.)

Most weddings are facilitated by 1 makeup artist and 1 hairstylist who have been trained and have experience handling large groups. Assistants are not included in our initial service rates and are an additional fee. If you have a tight getting-ready time frame, an early completion time, or more than 10 people, we typically suggest adding an assistant(s) to your contract.

How do I know that my artist(s) will show up for my wedding day?

We take scheduling very seriously. All of our artists constantly check their calendars and emails. They receive your wedding day schedule a week prior to your big day so they are fully prepared. We also always have a manager on-call and require our artists to check-in with said manager, this way, we know everyone is where they need to be!

Can a member of my party use your hair and makeup products if they are not receiving services?

No, only our licensed artists are able to use the products in their kits.

Will I need to touch up my hair and makeup once my artist(s) leave for the day?

In short, no! Once your hair and makeup artist(s) have completed your services, your look will remain the same throughout your wedding day. We do recommend that you bring a lipgloss, lipstick, or even chapstick to apply throughout your wedding day. Kissing, drinking, and eating will most likely shift your lip color after a long day.

Are lashes included in my makeup services?

No, lashes are not included in your makeup services. They can be added to your makeup service prior to your wedding day. If any members of your party would like to add lashes on the day-of, that is also an option and your artist(s) will apply a fee and collect before they complete your group.

How long will each individual hair and makeup service take?

Services for party members typically last about 30-40 minutes. Our artists usually spend about 45 minutes (give or take) with their brides. We also add a 30-minute buffer for contingencies and touch-ups.

Can I book hair and makeup services for my rehearsal dinner?

Yes, our team offers hair and makeup services for rehearsal dinners. We understand that this is a very important event leading up to your big day. Contact us as early as possible to reserve this service, as we may have other weddings on the date of your rehearsal.

Do you offer hair and makeup services for boudoir photos?

Yes, we offer makeup services for boudoir photos. Keep in mind that Saturday appointments are usually not available during peak wedding season due to our on-location wedding services. Let us know if you are interested in learning more and we will do our best to work with your schedule!

Do you offer hair and makeup services for engagement pictures?

Yes, we do! Keep in mind that Saturday appointments are usually not available during our busiest season because we're already booked up with on-location wedding services. Let us know what your schedule looks like and we'll do our best to work with you.

May we use a hair stylist or makeup artist from another service provider for other members of the wedding party?

Our preference is to have both hair and makeup services provided by Updos For I Dos. We want your getting ready experience to be seamless and relaxing. Our artists are accustomed to working together and have an understanding of timing and how the day should flow to keep you on schedule. We also want to make sure that your hair and makeup look flawless and consistent in photos. That being said, we do not require you to book our team for both services. You can book us for just makeup, just hair, or both.

Do you have a minimum number of people required for on-site services?

Yes, we have a minimum number of required services for all on-location services for our high season (March-November). However, we may be able to accommodate a select number of non-minimum weddings during our winter season (December, January, and February).

What if I can't meet the minimum number of people required for on-location services? Do you offer hair and makeup services for brides only?

Yes, we do have a package specifically for brides. Even if you can't find enough people to meet the minimum requirements, we still may be able to accommodate you. In this case, you would just need to pay a slightly higher fee. If you're having trouble finding enough friends or family to fill the spots, try asking a special guest!

Can you handle my hair and makeup if I'm not in the same city as you?

Of course! We work with a lot of clients brides from outside of our service areas. Many brides are traveling home or heading to a destination for their nuptials. Everything can easily be done via email, phone, Zoom, and FaceTime. We do recommend scheduling a trial prior to the wedding day, which would require an in-person trip to the area.

Other than myself (bride), who is able to receive hair and makeup services?

We will provide services for anyone that is interested in receiving hair and makeup services! We typically service bridesmaids, mothers of brides, aunts, grandmothers, mothers of grooms, flower girls, and even guests.

Can you cover up blemishes?

Don't worry, we got you covered! (literally). We will be able to take out the redness and discoloration, but keep in mind that if any blemishes are raised, the texture might still be a little noticeable up close.

What is the difference between Airbrush Makeup and Traditional Makeup?

Airbrush Makeup comes in the form of a very thin, liquid-like foundation. Airbrush foundation is a special foundation that is highly colorized and pigmented and is sprayed directly onto your skin using an airbrush pen and compressor. It is key to hire a professional makeup artist to apply it for you; someone who really knows the product and has had the training that's needed for a perfect application. When done correctly, it looks like a second skin that will last the entirety of your wedding day and night. Are pre-wedding facials included in my makeup services?

Pre-wedding facials are not included in your wedding day makeup services package. However, we do have several licensed esthetician's on our team and would be more than happy to connect you with them to coordinate pre-wedding skin care.

Do you provide hair and makeup services for special events other than weddings?

Yes, we offer on-site hair and makeup services for any type of special event! We offer services for bridal portraits, engagement sessions, rehearsals dinners, and more.

If I cry will I ruin my makeup?

Absolutely not! Our professional makeup artists will make sure your makeup lasts all night long. They will prep your skin properly and use long-lasting products that won't budge, even if you cry or sweat. So rest assured, you'll look just as gorgeous at the end of the night as you did when you first had your makeup done!

Do you travel to provide your services?

Yes! Our travel fee is based on location and distance.

Do you work with large bridal parties?

We sure do! We love weddings and everything that comes along with them. We have a team of highly trained stylists who are more than capable of handling large wedding parties. We pride ourselves on being able to create unique styles that are tailored to each individual client. So whether you know exactly what you want or have no idea where to start, we've got you covered!

What if I can't meet the minimum? Do you offer just hair and makeup for the bride?

Think outside the box! Do you have a special family member or guest that might love to be included for hair or makeup? Often we have mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or besties from out of town that will join in the fun. They can fill the the "attendant" spots and will love being part of your special day in such a special way.

For select dates, we do offer a bridal package for brides only. However, it still requires a minimum monetary amount for us to travel on-location.

What are the advantages of airbrush over traditional makeup applications?

The application of airbrush makeup is different than traditional make up. It comes in the form a thin, liquid-like foundation that's highly pigmented and sprayed onto your skin using an electric brush pen to give you flawless looking skin without feeling too heavy. Are you able to cover blemishes/ skin issues?

The simple answer is yes. However, blemishes are often raised skin, and raised skin texture can still be noticeable even with coverage. We can take out the redness and discoloration, but we can’t really “flatten” or change the texture of the skin.

Are you able to work with a variety of skin tones?

Absolutely! All of our makeup artists are professionally trained and have a makeup kit that can be used on every skin tone. We got you covered!

How many artists will work my wedding?

As we specialize in weddings, all of our training and education is directed to handling large parties in a shorter amount of time. We typically send out one hairstylist and one makeup artist per wedding. If you would prefer to add an additional artist to provide services on the day of your wedding, this option is available for an additional fee.

Can I work with you from long distance?

Of course! We work with a lot of brides from outside of our service areas. Many brides are traveling home or heading to a destination for their nuptials.
