Trial

How do I prepare for my trial? Do I need to bring anything with me?

We suggest that you bring photos of your wedding dress, hair and makeup styles that inspire you, and any hair and makeup looks that you don't like. We also recommend bringing your veil and any hair accessories that you have already purchased!

Can my children come to my trial?

While we love kids and have them ourselves, we ask that you do not bring children into our studio for safety reasons. Hot curling irons and cords can become very dangerous tools when children are close by.

Can I bring a friend or family member to my trial?

Yes, we do allow you to bring a "plus-one" to your trial! We also encourage our brides to heavily photograph their hair and makeup looks in different lighting so they are able to share those photos with friends and family that were not able to join you for your trial.

Is a trial required?

No, trials are not required however, we do highly recommend them! A trial is an opportunity for you to meet your selected hair and makeup artist, and to try out different looks to find one that you love for your wedding day. If you're not sure what kind of look you want yet, it's a good time to discuss styles that you like and don't like. This way, your artist can get an idea of your taste and what you might be looking for on your big day.

What is the best time to schedule my wedding hair and makeup trial?

Some brides like to schedule their trial before booking with us so they can get a feel for their artists first. Others book their hair and makeup with us first and then schedule their trial; the choice is yours! We suggest booking your trial as soon as possible.

How many hair and makeup looks can I test out during my trial?

This is totally up to you. For some brides, they know exactly what they are looking for when it comes to their wedding day hair and makeup. For others, they have no idea, (and that is totally okay!) Our thorough consultation is very helpful for our brides that do not know what they are looking for. We typically see brides test out 1-2 slightly different looks. Please note that you are not locked into the hairstyle and makeup look that you receive on your trial day. If you would like to have a second trial with your artist, just let us know.

How long will my makeup trial take?

Makeup trials are typically a 60-minute appointment, give or take. During your appointment, your artist(s) will perform a thorough consultation and talk through your selected inspiration photos. After they have applied your makeup, they will chat with you regarding any possible tweaks or changes to your makeup look and further customize your wedding day glam. We won't stop tweaking your look until you are head over heels in love!

How long will my hair trial take?

Hair trials are typically a 60-minute appointment, give or take. During your appointment, your artist(s) will perform a thorough consultation and talk through your selected inspiration photos. After they have styled your hair, they will chat with you regarding any possible tweaks or changes to your hairstyle and further customize your style. We won't stop tweaking your look until you are over the moon!

Are trials included in the hair and makeup pricing or is this an additional cost?

No, trials are not included and are an additional cost.

Is there a fee if I have to reschedule my trial?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your trial appointment, we request that you give us 24 hours' notice. If you have to cancel more than twice, we will ask for a deposit to secure your services. This deposit can be applied towards the cost of your service after it is completed.

Where do I go for my trial? When are trials available?

This answer varies based on location, but the short answer is that trials take place in our studios. Trials are available year-round and typically take place on Wednesdays starting at 5 PM and select Sundays. We are closed on Mondays and focused on weddings Fridays and Saturdays. Let us know what your schedule is like and we will get your trial scheduled.

What is your cancellation policy for trials?

For on-location appointments, we ask that you give 48-hour advance cancellation notice via email or phone. Please note that all deposits and retainers for on-location contracts are non-refundable despite any cancellations.

For in-studio appointments, we require a 24-hour notice. If notice is less than 24 hours, we will not refund any pre-paid trial fees.

Will the artist(s) I meet with for my trial be the same artist(s) providing services for my wedding day?

Yes! The artist(s) you meet with for your trial will be the artists servicing your bridal party for your wedding day. In the case of an emergency where your selected artist(s) are not able to attend your wedding day, our on-call artist(s) will take their place. We fully document each experience with our brides so if we do need to replace your original artist(s), your replacement artist(s) will be fully informed and ready to rock your wedding day glam.

Can I book my trial and pay the deposit at a later date?

Yes, you are not required to submit your deposit before meeting with our artists for your trial. You can book your trial and pay the deposit after you've fallen in love with your artists, but please keep in mind your wedding date is not reserved until your deposit is paid and your contract is signed.

How Long Do Makeup Trials Take?

Hair and makeup trial previews are typically 60 minutes long, per service, and include a personalized consultation with your makeup artist or hairstylist. We work to customize your entire look to you.

What days can I schedule a makeup trial/preveiw?

Trials are typically available on Wednesdays starting at 5 PM and on select Sunday afternoons. We are closed on Mondays and focused on weddings Friday and Saturday.
